Have you entered my current giveaway yet?
At the beginning of the year, American Girl Doll Stores introduced this year's doll of the year, Grace Thomas. Now Grace had an adventure in Paris that changes her life and she is a baker/business owner. When they introduced their new doll they gave souvenirs to people who came to see her at the store. Well, Doll Diaries had a souvenir set for a giveaway in January and I won it. Hazel was so excited!! We finally got it this weekend. Hazel immediately wanted to go through everything. She was not sure what the recipe box, recipe cards and dividers are for, but we decided she could use the box as a table for now. She put the Grace apron on her Hazel doll and created her own bakery. She used straws and cupcake liners for supplies since she was too lazy to get out her baking supplies. I however got out the baking accessories for her and set up the bakery.I bought Hazel a doll baking accessory pack on clearance when I first got her Hazel doll. It is similar to this one on Amazon except I think we have lost some pieces. I also got her a tea set then that some of these baked goods came from as well.
The recipe box is making the perfect mixing station. It has Hazel's mixing bowl, measuring cup, measuring spoons, hand mixer and "wooden" spoon.
The baked goods are on display with the little Eiffel Towers I reviewed recently and on one Eiffel Tower is the French-English Dictionary that came in the souvenir pack. The canisters that came with the baking set are up on the shelf with our homemade ones too. The cookies we made and the fortune cookies and cupcake display plate we shared are also in the picture.
She even has a place to put the pans fresh out of the oven. I think the drawers will have to be her oven for now. (The closet set is actually from Isabelle, last year's doll of the year.) Next I am going to work on some bakery boxes and bags for her. So much fun!! And maybe some printable menus. I'll share them if I make any. As for now, anyone want to visit the bakery?
