Valentine Crafts & More -- Crafty Weekends Link Party

Last week's Crafty Weekends Party was huge and there were so many great ideas I was a bit overwhelmed with putting together all the features!! Put that together with a busy week (and Hazel first snow day of the school year and the second is tomorrow) I didn't get much adult crafting done. We did however make some fun Valentine's Day crafts. The crafts I am sharing today involve two kits from the Paper Source which I purchased for us, so this is not really a review per say. I will provide you links when possible. I do not receive any compensation if you click them or purchase from them. They are solely for your convenience.  The first kit is the Ombre Heart kit which is actually in the clearance section and no longer available on-line. I made the teacher Valentine (the large one) and added on some of the words of 1 Corinthians 14.

We talked about making the smaller ones and attaching a rainbow crayon with the words "You add color to my world" on them for her friends, but she decided she wanted to use the Heart Mazes instead. She wrote on hearts, "God always thinks" and then we attached the hearts to the bottoms. She had stamped and heat embossed "Happy Valentine's Day" on the other side in gold and then wrote "Love, Hazel." Sorry I didn't take a picture of them before she put them in the envelopes, but she has some more to make.

Today she also had a playdate after church. One of the girls in her Sunday School class and her love to play together, so we often bring her home with us while her family goes to her brother's flag football. The girls like to do crafts with me for part of the time. So I pulled out the Funny Monkey Valentine Craft Kit that Hazel and I had picked out. We liked this one since the Chinese Zodiac says the Year of the Monkey starts tomorrow. The monkeys the girls made are on the tray and I made the other ones. We used our liquid pearls, stickers, gel pens, and wooden red heart scatter.
The kit came with stickers that read "I like hanging around with you! Happy Valentine's Day! From". Some of ours have the stickers and some do not.
