Today we are sharing a fun craft book for kids--Gaga for Googles!: Tons of Totally Fun Things to Make with Googly Eyes! by Walter Foster, Jr. Creative Team. Now I will admit I was not sure how Hazel would like this. Around Halloween last year eyes started grossing her out. However she loves it!!
The book comes with various googly eyes and many ideas of things to do with them!!
The googly eyes are in a plastic case that is reclosable. They come in all different sizes, colors and styles. Some of the colored ones even have eyelashes. The ideas in this book are fun. Some are simple like the eyesores we created.
How fun are those bandages? The frowning one is sad because someone got hurt!!
Other ideas are more complicated like the Butterfly Eye Mosaic. Hazel decided it was fun to arrange the eyes but didn't want to bother gluing them all down.
There are even ones for various holidays like our turkey (there were also some for Halloween and Christmas).
There are some for various seasons as well. One used autumn leaves and another made snowmen. We went with the Bloomin' Eyes.
Hazel picked out the flowers and the eyes for them and I glued them on while she arranged the butterfly. Aren't they fun?
This book has ideas for every day and just makes the day a little more fun. Hazel even had fun with the eyes, which had us laughing!!
We hope you will check out this fun book and laugh a little too!!
