Disclosure: Quarto Knows sent me this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I took the past week off from my job except working one shift to teach a class. I spent the week organizing my craft room. I am still working on it. Therefore I did not do much crafting this week except trying again on my pine cone wreath. I wrapped the wreath frame in brown paper I got in a package. So far the pine cones are staying in place this time!
Today I am sharing with you a fun craft book for kids that will help them work on stitching skills. It is Stitching with Jane Foster by Jane Foster.
This book has 37 easy projects. They punch out and have pre-punched holes for the stitches. One side is colored and the other is black and white so the child can choose to color a project him/herself.
There is also a section to plan the stitches you want to make for each project.
Hazel decided to do one of the flowers. The stitcher can use yarn or embroidery floss. Hazel used yarn. I threaded the needle and tied a knot for her.
I love how these projects teach her to stitch and embroider. I also love how most of them are fairly small and can hold her attention to finish one. To see even more about this book and examples from it, check out this Youtube video.
I hope you will check out this fun book to teach someone you know about stitching.
