When I shared our Advent table a couple of weeks ago, I got the origami bug. I pulled out the two colorful (and a bit wild) packets of origami paper I had sitting on my review shelf. The first is Kaleidoscope Colors Origami Paper.
This packet has 500 sheets of 6-inch double-sided papers. The front sides have bright kaleidoscope designs and the back side is a solid.
I pulled out a small Christmas origami book to try to get into the holiday, but I got very frustrated with it. I made a church (but the photo did not come out well) and this tree.
You can get instructions to make the tree on YouTube. It is pretty easy. After getting frustrated with trying to make one of the stars in the book, I moved on to look on-line for instructions. I made an easy five-pointed star.
Sorry the picture is a bit blurry. I love how the kaleidoscope patterns look though. I also made an eight-point star to use a variety of the designs.
The instructions can be found here. I love the wild designs and bright colors this paper provides. It is easy to use and has lots of fun designs.
I also have this beautiful Nature Patterns Origami Papers. This packet has 200 sheets of six-inch double sided papers. The front side has designs from nature including berries, petals, honeycomb, leaves, and more. The back side is a solid color.
I made an eight-pointed star with this paper as well.
I love the details in the designs. The colors are vivid and a lot of fun. The quality is excellent as well.
Speaking of stars, I also have this fun Origami Stars Folding Papers 500 Paper Strips. Now this is literally 500 strips of paper in different colors and instructions on how to make the tiny stars out of the strips.
Now my plan is to have a large glass bowl at Hazel's birthday party and have the kids write a wish for Hazel on the strip and then fold them into the stars and put them in the bowl. We are thinking of having the kids write a wish for the new year as well. Don't you think that will be fun?
I hope you will check out these great origami papers!
