Disclosure: I will receive a small percentage from any purchases made from the Dollar Tree links. All opinions are my own!
This week I am sharing some easy fall crafts with supplies from Dollar Tree. They had some cute autumn ribbons. I chose a plaid. I also got a burlap ribbon spool and one of the adorable fall owls. I also used a 10-inch Styrafoam wreath form. I wrapped it with burlap ribbon and used a pin to hold it. Then I tied a bow with the plaid ribbon and hot glued the owl and a decorative pick (I bought elsewhere) onto it. I attached a loop of twine as well to hang it. I am going to give it to my parents to hang on their door of their new condo.
The other craft I wanted to do was make a ribbon cross that I could change seasonally. I love the one I made for Easter, but want one that isn't so oriented to spring. I got an 8 by 10-inch frame. I removed the glass, backing and matting. I was going to use the burlap ribbon, but I used all of it on the wreath. I found some brown grossgrain ribbon in my supplies and used a hot glue gun to glue it as a cross on the frame.
Then I used twine to tie on a fall pick to decorate it. I also added a twine loop to hang it. I love that I can by a pick for each season and change the look. I hung it in my praying nook. It has a comfortable chair, one of my Bibles, and some gifts Hazel has made for me.
Here is a close up view of my fun autumn cross.
I love how it came out. What have you been creating this week?
