Disclosure: I was given this ebook in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Are you getting ready for the holidays? We are and are loving it. Today I am sharing a fun book for kid crafters or for adults to make crafts for or with kids. This book reminds me of our Waldorf days perhaps because they always had their first Forest Fairy book on sale at the holiday fair at the Waldorf School. Afterall fairies are part of the magic of Waldorf. The book is Magical Forest Fairy Crafts Through the Seasons by Lenka Vodicka-Paredes and Asia Currie.
This book has 25 projects that range from fairies, gnomes and more. It starts with a fairy family which includes a fairy girl and boy, a gnome, and a fairy baby. There are pages of instructions for making the body, the face, and hair as well as the clothes. These instructions are refered to throughout the book.
Next comes spring. There are fairies and gnomes as well as treasure pouches and a lavender scented mouse.
Then comes summer. Besides the fairies and gnome there are a bride and groom fairies and shooting star beanbag and rainbow ball. These remind me so much of the Waldorf school. In fact I think Hazel's nursery teacher made them each a shooting star ball.
Next is autumn. They include the fairies and gnomes as well as a leaf garland and these chubby creatues.
I also wanted to try a project and tried an autumn fairy girl. The instructions were easy to follow, but you do have to flip back to the tutorials. I am very happy with how she came out though.
Then of course comes winter. There are the winter fairies and gnomes and ornaments as well as these adorable Sweetheart Fairy Baby and Heart Home. How sweet are these for Valentine's Day?
I also made an ornament using the tutorial and patterns.
I found the instructions very easy to follow. The tutorials for the stitches. Each type of stitch is given an animal name and uses the animal in the instructions. Talk about relating to kids. This book is wonderful and fun. I know Hazel will love getting her hands on it. I hope you will check it out. Be sure to check out some of our other fairy crafts like Star Princess, Fairy Birthday Party, Fairy Houses and Fairy Gardens, Fairy Craft Kit, Fairy Spring Ball, Lavender Fairy, Hazel's Play Fairy Garden, Fairies and Love Bug Dolls, Needle Felted Fairies, Mushroom Fairy, Autumn Peg Dolls, Spring Flower Fairy Peg Dolls, More Autumn Fairies, Autumn and Her Fairies, Spring Fairies, Spring Flower Fairies, Winter Fairies, Clothespin Fairies, Autumn Fairies, More Fairies, and Flower Fairies.
