Origami Fun -- a Crafty Weekends Review & Link Party

Disclosure: I was sent these origami paper sets in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. 

Here is my long over due craft review. I now have a new computer but was able to get my photos back!! In the spring my math club group asked for a lesson involving origami. I pulled out some lessons that talk about geometry while making origami stars. I however forgot to take photos of the girls' projects. So I came home and made some more. 

We used six different packages of origami paper and then I made some other projects with Rainbow Patterns. 

One of our first projects was a changing ninja star. Each of these projects can transform to the other shape. These were made with the smaller (4-inch) vibrant colors.

Next we made some eight pointed stars. The first ones require glue to keep them together. You can see a tutorial here. I used the Dog Patterns for the first one.

For the next one I used the Nature Patterns. 

Next we made another eight point star like the one I made using Geometric Origami.  I made one with the Cat Patterns paper. 

I also made this one from the Kaleidoscope paper. I love how it turned out!!

This star is done with the Kimono Pattern Paper. 

Finally I used the Rainbow Paper and tried some fun origami ideas I found in books at our local library.

 I love how this puzzle box came out. What do you think? Below are a duck, windmill and wreath.

So those are a few of the origami projects I have been making and some I did with my math club girls.  Now let's get this party started!
