We have had the pleasure of sharing The Startup Squad series with you since it began. This fun multicultural middle grades novel series is about four friends who work together to start businesses. From Me:
I love that the girls not only have different cultures but also very different personalities. Although they struggle at time to keep peace in their group they also accept each other's differences most of the time. The overall message in this one is that a group needs different talents to succeed. Each girl finds her own strength and talent and helps one another. Another big lesson is finding something you enjoy. These are such important life lessons as well as friendship lessons.
Although I cannot imagine asking a twelve-year-old to take over the planning of a wedding one week prior to the wedding, I love how this series always shows these girls starting their own businesses to make money for different reasons. I love that the group pulls together when the chips are down and even find more friends to help. It is truly a fun book and has so many lessons throughout it as well as laughs.
