Are you working from home with a small child at home? Does your child like to "help" you work? Today's book is for you! It is Help Mom Work from Home by Diana Murray and illustrated by Cori Doerrfeld. It is recommended for ages 4 to 8.
From the Publisher:
For fans of Boss Baby and How to Babysit a Grandma comes an entertaining read aloud for parents working from home with their little ones.It isn't always easy working from home. Luckily, Mom's little one is a natural boss at keeping her organized, leading meetings, and making calls—or so it seems. But when Mom starts looking frazzled, will her helper know what to do?
Diana Murray's rollicking rhyme paired with Cori Doerrfeld's energetic illustrations will bring parent and child together after a long workday at home.
From Me:
This book is so sweet. The young child wants to help mom in every way possible. From styling her hair to organizing her supplies and bringing her tea for a break. Oh, and let's not forget the glitter for her business cards. This book describes exactly what a young child may try to do with Mom working from home. I love it. The Mom in the story never seems to get too upset from the toys all over the floor or the interruptions. But I love how the story is about togetherness and the love of the family. There are pages where the dad has the baby in a baby carrier and is doing the food shopping. I love how this book addresses the very much time appropriate of moms working from home (and really parents working from home). I know my husband is still working from home thanks to the pandemic.
This book is perfect for families who have someone working from home and a child who wants to help. I know when Hazel was young we got her a toy laptop so she could "work" with me. I am sure both parent and child will love this book!
