I love sharing multicultural children's books with you. Every January I get excited for Multicultural Children's Book Day. Today I get to share with you a beautiful new multicultural book. When I first read it, I couldn't wait to share it. It is fabulous and simple. The book is All of Us by Gökçe Irten. It is recommended for ages 4 to 8.

Ok, as I said in the introduction, I am so excited to share this book with you. I have been waiting for it to be released to share it. I love it!! In this book the words are simple. The pages barely have many words. It goes through things that are similar in everyone--we all dream, wait our turn sometimes, we long for things, have worries, feel proud when we succeed, etc. It goes through emotions like annoyed and envy and it goes through actions like dance, paint, and more. It even talks about being creative and thinking and has Albert Einstein in it.
The pictures are collages as well as illustration. Their own simpleness adds to the appeal of the book for young kids. Yet they are colorful and full of fun. I love the diversity throughout the book as well.
The variety in this book will have something for everyone and it will speak to everyone. I absolutely love this book and hope you will check it out. It is a book that should be in every lower elementary classroom and read to all children. Afterall there are differences in all of us but the truth is we all have many similarities!
