We all have embarrassing moments in life, and some are so embarrassing that we remember them forever. What is yours? I remember vomiting at a school assembly all over the shoes of the boy next to me. To make matters worse he reminded me of it years later so he remembered it too. Often our embarrassing moments when we are young, or perhaps when we are old too, involve wetting your pants. Whether it is wetting your bed or having an accident in public or when you are older perhaps when you have a coughing fit or a laughing fit. Yup, we all have those embarrassing moments and need to learn how to deal with them. Today I get to share a humorous book about dealing with peeing in your pants. The book is How to Pee Your Pants: The Right Way by Rachel Michelle Wilson. The book is recommended for ages 3 to 5.
From the Publisher:
Don’t miss this humorous and heartwarming picture book by debut creator Rachel Michelle Wilson about that embarrassing moment in life when you (gasp) pee your pants.Well, it happened. You peed your pants.
You probably regret that second (okay, third) lemonade.
We’ve all been there.
This book has some tips to get you through it (including but not limited to traffic cone pants, extraterrestrial negotiations, food fights, and other very practical techniques).
With her playful retro palette, debut author-illustrator Rachel Michelle Wilson offers a space to laugh with yourself through one of life’s most embarrassing moments and remember that you’re never as alone as you think.

From Me:
This book shares about the embarrassing accident that happens to all of us in a fun way and humorous ways to deal with it. However, it also reminds us that it happens to all of us so when it happens to someone around you, you should show compassion. It is humorous in what you can do to make sure no one realizes you had an accident as well as humorous in what you can wear after an accident. Kids will love this book!!
I can see this book being read to a child who just had an accident to make them feel better or perhaps to a child who witnessed an accident to help them show compassion for the person who had the accident. I also see it being a fun read aloud book for a story time or class. Whether it is the methods to prevent the accident or the solutions to not draw attention to yourself or perhaps the ideas for clean clothes, kids will be laughing and enjoying Rachel Michelle Wilson's creative and fun ideas.
If you have or work with a child prone to accidents or who is in the age group of 3 to 5, this book is perfect for them! I hope you will check it out because you will be laughing with them as well as teaching them about compassion and friendship!
